My name is 'Jill'. I typed in Ask Ashley in a search engine the other day (because Ask Ashley was on the Amanda
show, which had previously been my favorite show). Then just yesterday I actually needed advice, and decided to use
your Ask Ashley page. Here's my question:
My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over a year, when he decided
we were "ready". I found out I was pregnant yesterday, and am so scared to tell anyone. I trust this website because I
know I can remain anonymous. What do I do? Should I have an abortion? I'm only 14! I need someone's advice. You can
even post this on your website, just, please reply.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
"Jill"
(Jill is a fake name b/c duh this is anonymous)

My reply to this was: First of all you have to tell your parents. Your family is the major decision maker in this situation,
I'm just here to help. Your parents will find out sooner or later anyway (b/c of your huge belly). If you do decide to keep
this baby instead of having an abortion, be sure to talk to your doctor for what you can do to keep it healthy. The secondary
problem here is school. It's gonna be hard but I believe you can do it. You are going to have this baby all thru the school
year so you won't be able to do sports and you will probably be sick some of the time so you will miss school for that. Not
to mention the numerous doctor's appointments and what not. Just keep in mind to tell your parents or guardian or whatever
because they WILL help you.
P.S. Pray that God will help you get throught this and give you the courage to tell your parents. Pray that He will help
you come to a decision about what you should do with this baby.

I received a question asking me this:"I really like this guy but I don't know if I should tell him or not." -anonymous
My reply was this: If you truly do like him & you aren't too shy to tell him, TELL HIM! Otherwise someone else
might snag him first or he might get caught up w/ someone else.

Hi, my name is Anna and i have a quick question. This guy that i think is really cute asked me out, but i have a
boyfriend and i told him that. He said that since he doesn't live here, what he doesn't know won't hurt him. I told him that
i wasn't going to do that to my boyfriend just because he doesn't live here. Was i right to turn him down?
-Anna
My reply was:
If you feel that you did the right thing for YOU, then yes. If you're the kind of person that doesn't cheat on their
boyfriends and stays honest, then yes you did the right thing. Sometimes people have bf/gf's in different town that they don't
see as often and then the do things with other people in their own town, which is not good for relationships. Stay true to
your bf if you really like him.
