Wombats:
Wombats live in Southern Australia. The wombat's enemies consist of man (which is the greatest
predator), dingoes and foxes. For smaller (baby) wombats, owls and other birds of prey are predators.
Wombats live in burrows that they dig with their strong claws. Their burrows can be from 10
to 100 feet long. They can be wide enough for a small person to crawl through. They are about 20 inches wide, which is about
how big the wombats themselves are, but they manage to turn around in them if they need to. The wombats dig with their front
claws, then push the dirt back behind them with their back feet (which also have claws).

Sugar Gliders:
Sugar gliders are getting more and more
common as pets in the U.S., and once you see a picture of them you know why. They are good pets-they don't smell (if they
have the right diet), they are very intelligent and playful, they don't get fleas, don't need shots, and are inexpensive to
keep. They are native to Australia but they have not captured any to send here for many years. They are marsupials, about
the same size as squirrels here in America (but much cuter). They are so nice, that they will allow you to carry them around
in a bag, if u treat them right.
